Saying I have a vague plan for what I'm gonna post each day of this project is like wondering if the top spinning in the last scene of Inception was meant to show he was in the dream or not. (He wasn't. It's pretty much fact at this point.) Usually I figure out what I'm about to write about 10 mins before I beginning typing, but since this is gonna a month long project, I have to kinda plan ahead.
At least a day or two ahead in terms of the topic I want to expound on.
My notes say today is going to be: Origami.
However, I'm gonna change that up, because I'm gonna share the reason I almost forgot to post today: My wardrobe.
This is not necessarily about the clothes in it, but of course they do play a part. It's about the space of the wardrobe itself and how my brain has decided that this space will dictate my clothes. Now, yes, generally wardrobes usually dictate the space for your clothes, but we also by extra storage systems to help us maximise that space and make us feel better when we buy extra stuff and so our wardrobes don't look like something in the Before scenes of Queer Eye or those declutter videos.
Now, first thing thing first: I'm not a minimalist. I'm trying not to be a maximalist. I would call myself, chaotically cosy and mindful. And tbh that's pretty much what my wardrobe currently looks like.
Like most people in the UK, I've had to live in locations where there's been no inbuilt wardrobe, so I've used clothes rails and drawers. But sometimes you move into somewhere with a nice, well sized wardrobe and your mind goes: OMG I CAN FINALLY FILL IT UP.
No, bad! This is the trick we all fall into. Especially if we like clothes and fashion.
I fell for this trick. So over the last couple years I've been reducing my wardrobe. Every 3-4 months I try to look at it and pull out the things I don't wear and donate them. That's not to say I don't buy new things, what am I, perfect? But I try to be more mindful with what I buy. Mostly second hand. But whenever I start to realise that the wardrobe is looking full, I take a step back and go: Okay, time to reassess what you got, girl.
Currently, I have a nice inbuilt wardrobe and some Ikea drawers. The drawers lived in the corner of a my flat until about an hour. Now, the drawers, where some of my others things lived (underwear, swim wear, socks), lives in the wardrobe. I never realised until a few months ago that it'd fit in the wardrobe space and I've been wanting to move it in there.
Today, that was my Daily Adventure.
Moved it, I did.
And then I realised that one of those handy over the door hook storage systems I have for my t-shirts hit the drawers and didn't let me close the door. Oh. No. I've played myself! Because now I realised once again: Not all of my clothes fit in the wardrobe! Well, I had already moved it inside. It wasn't moving again, so I had to move the over the door hook to the other wardrobe door and adjusted a few things so the clothes and the system didn't cause the doors to pop open.
The wardrobe is now very much full1 and I have stuff int he laundry to wash. Looks like it's time reassess once again.

Rec Section:
Food/Drink: Trip CBD drinks, because as much as I’m much better about drinking water everyday sometimes you want a little something extra and soda can be overly sweet at time. Also, sometimes, I have anxiety, so really 241 deal for me.
Travel: Double checking your reservations and flights to make sure that when you and mom agreed you’d split the cost of the trip and she booked the flights you make sure you can still a day to your stay bc your original hotel booking was for the day after she booked the flight.
Home: mini dehumidifiers for your wardrobe, esp in the North~ because the UK is damp af and you realise when fixing up your wardrobe space that moisture is getting in.
Partly because I took out of my winter jumpers and coat out of where they live under my bed for part of the year. What can I say, I love a chunky jumper but I keep them and my coat/jackets vacuumed sealed when I’m not wearing them often.
